Mile End Mill, Llangollen

Whitewater Centre for Training & Recreation 365 Days a Year

As of Monday 1st June 2020 TNR is managing the entire Mile End Mill site.

These are exciting times for us and we are keen to provide a seamless changeover for paddlers & rescue service personnel alike.  This may be a challenge in the current Covid circumstances

We have been in situ on the upper floors of the Mill since 1st April 2019 and have spent considerable time & money improving the facilities in our orignal section of the building.  This is something we'd like to continue across the whole site and we want YOU, the users to tell us what we should do and what you think the site needs to make it even better.

Online Booking

Due to Covid-19 we are only accepting online advance bookings for site use - this allows us to control numbers. With payment taken online, which keeps us all safer.

The site will be open from 9am and the gates will be locked at 5pm.

You can turn up anytime you like during those times on the day you have booked for. £6.00 per person per day

What does the fee cover?

The money you pay covers car parking, toilets and use of the changing rooms. (Covid-19 dependant). As well as giving you permission to access the river and the banks from Tombstones weir down to Bottom Wave. This allows you to freely access both banks to inspect, set up safety and re-run rapids as many times as you like.

But most of all, your fee allows us to develop the site and make it better. We will be improving the facilities as soon as funds allow. Our business ethos is to reinvest all profits into improving our offering to make our centre the best it can be.

On our list is - Drying room, Showers,  Lights on the river, Webcam to show gauge, accomodation, Boat Storage.

What else would you like to see?

We have already sorted - Better carpark surface, Camping pitches, Slalom returning to Mem and more classroom space.

Covid-19

The site is open to recreational paddlers and professional users.  But all need to be booked in and paid before arrival.

No Overnight stays, at the moment.  From July 14th it will be for self contained campervans ( IE have a loo and sink inside them). Due to Welsh Government Covid Rules.  Please contact us for more info.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mile End Mill Soon
